Homemade Cereal Bars
This awesome tasting cereal bars are versatile, you can swap ingredients to taste and create a variety of flavour combinations. Fuel your day or your workout with this awesome, easy to pack, delicious bars.

Ingredients (serves 16):
½ cup Sunflower seeds
½ cup Pumpkin seeds
2 tbsp sesame seeds
1.5 cups rolled oats
1 cup dried cranberries or your favourite dried fruit
½ cup dark chocolate chips
60g butter or low-fat margarine
½ cup honey
Method:
1. Preheat oven to 170°C/150°C fan forced. Lightly grease a 3cm-deep, 17.5cm x 27cm (base) slice pan. Line with baking paper, allowing 2cm overhang at long ends.
2. Combine the seeds, oats, dried fruit and chocolate chips in a large bowl.
3. Over low heat melt butter/margarine and syrup stirring occasionally (3 to 4 minutes). Bring to a simmer and cook, stirring, until slightly thickened (3 to 4 minutes).
4. Add the spread mixture to the seeds mixture and stir well. Spoon into prepared pan. Press the mixture evenly into pan using the back of the spoon. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes or until golden. Cool in pan completely. Refrigerate for 2 hours. Cut into 16 bars.
Tip: Add nuts, LSA or protein powder for a protein hit.
